After that, I decided that since I didn’t have to go see the doctor any more or have any treatments, I would surprise my best friend and fly to Boise for her birthday weekend. I had convinced her that I wasn’t able to make it because I was having the stitches taken out of my leg. But low and behold…I flew in, had a mutual friend pick me up, and made a surprise appearance at the Cheesecake Factory. It was awesome.
Spring Break: Easter we went and spent the weekend with my grandma. Monday I drove to Spokane, hung out with some friends there, and flew out Wednesday for my other vacation, the one where my co-worker and I won a trip to Missouri. While she, another coworker, and their 8 kids piled in a car for a road trip, I just decided to fly over and meet them there! I wish I had the pictures on this computer, but understand, Missouri isn’t just for old people, we found an awesome theme park with lots of things to keep us all occupied.
Bloomsday: Bloomsday Baby. My sister in law, a friend, and I hopped in the car, made the trip across the state and hung out in Spokane for the weekend and ran Bloomsday. Now, before my surgery I had been training for bloomsday, but once I was able to walk again I never got back into training, so this was my first “run.” I thought we were going to walk a mile, jog a mile, but boy was I wrong! We pretty much ran the whole thing, besides the hills…I couldn’t walk for the next two days!
And that is just a quick overview of my exciting life.
